Resin-bound driveways look great and are incredibly durable. They require minimal maintenance and are available in a range of different colours and patterns. At Timberley Projects, we’ll spend many of the upcoming warm summer days in Sussex and Surrey, helping our clients create a perfect first impression. A resin-bound driveway can create instant curb appeal and add to the value of your home.
To help you plan in your driveway makeover, we thought we’d share a resin-bound driveway project timeline.
Resin-Bound Driveways – A Project Timeline:
First things first:
We know that the first thing you’ll want to know is how much your new driveway is likely to cost. That’s why we always offer a complimentary, no-obligation quote. Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll arrange a suitable time to visit you. This site visit usually takes place within a week.
It will usually be Oliver, Livvy or Christian who comes to see you. We like to discuss your requirements and answer any questions you might have. We’ll show you some resin samples and discuss all the options and finishes available to you.
Finally, we’ll measure the area and take pictures that we can refer back to when we are writing up your quote.
The benefit of having a Sussex and Surrey based groundworks company providing your quote is that we are a one-stop-shop for driveways. If we see any groundworks issues that might complicate your job (such as tree roots or drainage problems) we have the skills and machinery to be able to fix these. We can include these elements (if there are any) in our quote, so you won’t get any nasty surprises after work has commenced.
After your site visit, we’ll aim to have a quote sent to you, usually within a week.
Let’s get down to business:
After you’ve accepted our quote, we always aim to start work on your resin-bound driveway within three to four weeks.
We always recommend a full excavation. It’s important that we know what’s beneath the surface so we can guarantee the quality of your new driveway.
To break the project down into stages, this is what you can expect to see:
- A full excavation
- Supply and lay a new sub-base
- Supply and lay a geotextile membrane, tarmac with suds compliant grade and then the resin
- Finally, supply and lay selected finishing or edging
We also can offer a suds compliant resin sub-base, which is slightly more expensive than tarmac but extremely hard-wearing.
We usually complete all this within a one to two-week period. After we’ve completed your resin-bound driveway, you’ll be able to walk on it within twenty-four hours and drive on it within forty-eight hours.
At Timberley Projects, we offer resin-bound driveway solutions throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. Contact us to arrange a no-obligation consultation.
