So, you have planning permission for your new driveway, building, retaining wall or any other project. Congratulations! Now it’s time to find your groundworks contractor. This task can often be a daunting prospect, especially if you haven’t had similar work completed before.
To help you choose your groundworks contractor, we’re sharing some questions we expect to be asked when we first receive a client enquiry.
Received Planning Permission? Questions to ask your prospective Groundworks Contractor:
Firstly, can you provide a no-obligation quote?
The tender process is an integral part of any building or groundworks project. Once you receive planning permission, it’s important that you contact a few firms for quotes. At Timberley Projects, we’ll never charge you for a quote, and we’ll always visit your site.
What experience do you have?
Once you have planning permission, it’s not all about finding the cheapest quote. Remember, like everything in life, experience counts. So when you have shortlisted your groundworks contractors, be sure to ask about previous projects. At Timberley Projects, we’re proud of our reputation. We have over twenty five years of experience, our quality workmanship, unrivalled reliability and professional project management is well regarded within our industry by clients and fellow contractors alike.
Can you give me a timeline?
To help you plan, always ask for a detailed timeline for your project. As groundworks contractors we know we’re often first up! But we are also aware we need to fit in with other contractors on site.
Who is in charge?
Always make sure you have a constant point of contact when you select a groundworks contractor. At Timberley Projects, our Directors are very hands-on. There’s nothing they like more than being on-site. But, regretfully, they can’t be everywhere at once. So, you’ll generally find that your immediate point of contact is our Contracts Manager, Henri. Meet the entire Timberley Projects team here.
When can you start?
We know that on receipt of planning permission you’re keen as mustard to get going. Once we’ve met with clients on-site and provided a no-obligation quote, ‘When can you start’, is generally the next question we are asked!
