Our Timberley Projects groundworks company offers a diverse range of services. Our clients across West Sussex and Surrey contact us for driveways, foundations, drainage services and structural alterations. But one service we’ve seen an increase in of late is a request to help our clients go gourmet!
Since the world changed in March, more and more people have been investing in their homes. Initially, lots of people wanted a home cinema room, not something a groundworks company can help with… But, as the weather has improved, and with no signs, as yet, of trips to a favourite restaurant, people are looking for new and innovative ways to enjoy dining alfresco. Now that’s something we can help with!
Groundworks Company helping you go Gourmet:
Raised Vegetable Beds
Of course, an outdoor feast starts with delicious produce, and we can help you get off the ground! There’s still plenty of time to sow salad crops. Plus it’s time to get your cucumbers and sweetcorn in to harvest later in the summer.
As a groundworks company, we’ve been fortunate to work with the fabulous Pig Hotels for many years, and most recently on the new West Sussex venue. One of our jobs was to construct some of their amazing raised vegetable gardens. While you might not want vegetables on the same scale as The Pig, we can still help you with something suitable for your space.
Raising a Glass
Now, the Government guidelines allow us to meet in small groups outside; there’s a chance that you’ll be entertaining in your garden. If your seating areas aren’t up to scratch, we can help you with perfect patios or decked areas. Allowing you to comfortably keep the deckchairs two metres apart while you raise a glass with friends!
The Main Event
If you’re serious about cooking outside, then you’d be surprised at the way a groundworks company can help you enjoy summer. Outdoor kitchens, BBQ areas and Pizza Ovens all rely on heavy equipment and need good foundations. We can help you construct these areas, your outdoor entertaining areas will be the envy of your friends, and will add value to your home if presented beautifully. And, yes! We can also build you a pizza oven!
A Bonus Recipe from the Boss!
Our very own Christian Carey is a bit of a demon with the outdoor grill. So, as a special bonus in this post, we thought we’d share his homemade BBQ sauce recipe.
CC’s Fake Away Big Mac Sauce:
- Finely chopped onion
- 200 g mayonnaise
- 30 g tomato ketchup
- 30 g Frenchies burger mustard
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 3 or 4 finely chopped cornichons
- 1 tsp sugar
Finely chop the onion and add to a bowl of boiling water for 5 mins. Drain and place on a bit of kitchen paper and pat dry. Mix up all ingredients and put in the fridge to chill for 30mins before use.
Enjoy your meal, and if you’d like to enjoy it more contact us. We can help you get your gourmet on with groundworks for outdoor entertainment areas.
