In these extraordinary times, we are conscious that all our clients have a lot on their minds. While everybody tries to stay safe, protect their families and negotiate lockdown, we want to help alleviate worry wherever we can. One way we can do this is to help you deal with any emergencies that might crop up. So, in this article, we wanted to tell you about some of our call-out services. We offer emergency drainage services throughout Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.
Emergency Drainage Services:
Occasions when you may need our services:
As a groundworks company, we know the importance of what lies beneath the surface. Drainage problems can manifest themselves in many ways and water can cause untold damage. If you are experiencing any of the following, our emergency drainage services will get to the root of the problem and fix it.
- Water leaks
- Blocked sewage pipes
- Sewage treatment plant breakdown
- Inadequate ACO drains for run-off water
- Overflowing ditches on your property
Another clue that you might have a problem is a large water bill. We were recently called out to a farm who thought they might have a water leak because they’d been experiencing large bills. We inspected the premises and found no leak, but as a tenanted property, we advised the installation of water meters at staged points so they could monitor accurate usage.
Causes of damage to drains:
There are many reasons why you may see damage to drains on your Surrey, Sussex or Hampshire property over time. These include ground heave, tree root damage and vehicular movement over shallow drains. Any issues resulting from damage won’t fix themselves. The last thing you want is for minor problems to get worse; you could end up swimming around in your own waste. Always use a professional service provider to inspect and fix any drainage issues, as only they will have the right diagnostic equipment. At Timberley, we use CCTV and/or high-pressure jetting, which helps us find the root cause (excuse the pun) and if there is a blockage helps us resolve the problem.
Signs of a problem:
The first signs that you may have a problem could be overflowing manholes, a nasty smell, soggy wet grass or ground or loos not flushing correctly. In these circumstances, be sure to contact a professional about emergency drainage services before you end up with further damage to your property.
