Resin driveways can look great, and are durable. There are two types of resin driveway, resin bound and resin bonded, and each has very differing properties, we only do Resin Bound. Both kinds of resin require minimal maintenance and are available in a range of different colours and patterns.
Resin bound driveways are created by mixing resin with small stones, which is then hand trowelled to create a smooth surface. This type of drive is water permeable and is SuDs compliant, which means property owners will not require planning permission.

Concept & Design
Resin bound surfaces are available in a variety of aggregate colours and textures, together with an assortment of edges for a truly bespoke design. We have years of industry experience and an eye for detail that helps us ensure you get the driveway of your dreams.
Preparation
With over twenty-five years’ experience supplying groundworks services throughout both the residential and commercial sectors, we’re qualified to offer you full advice on construction detail and the most suitable structural sub-base for any application.
Resin bound surfaces must be laid on a suitable base which is usually a structurally sound tarmac or concrete base.
Construction
Once your surface is prepared we mix the different ‘ingredients’ using a forced action mixer, this is much like a giant food mixer; it is top loading with a gravity outlet which discharges into a wheelbarrow. The resin and hardener are mixed with an industrial whisk and is then added to the mixer that now contains the aggregate or gravel of your choice, with exact amounts of kiln-dried grit added to ensure a slip-resistant compound.
After mixing the outlet is opened and the perfect mix pours into a wheelbarrow, this is then tipped, spread and laid off by hand to a depth of 15mm/18mm.
Edgings
Resin bound surfaces are generally at least 15mm in thickness. Therefore, some form of edge restraint becomes essential. Where edgings or kerbs are being used, the base course material can be left slightly low to accommodate the surfacing, but where no edging is present, it will be necessary to install an edging, such as an aluminium strip, brick, timber or concrete edging to provide a working edge for the surfacing.
Completion
Within 12-24 hours of installation, you’ll be able to walk across your new resin bound surface. We take pride in completing your project on time and on budget, all backed up with a ten-year product guarantee.
Resin Bound Surfacing Aggregate Blends
This is a resin bound aggregate surface for pedestrian and vehicle trafficked surfaces such as paths, walkways, pavements, patio areas, driveways and small carparks. Resin bound surfacing is functional, highly decorative, slightly flexible and can be laid without joints, offering an attractive alternative to concrete, tarmac and block paving.
These products are supplied by a leading UK supplier. Once installed, your driveway comes with a 10-year product guarantee.
This product has the ability to be laid at a depth of 15mm over an existing driveway and give a spectacular finish.
Wet Pour Rubber Granule Surfacing
Is a resin bound rubber granule surfacing for pedestrian traffic. It is used to create flexible seamless safety surfaces which absorb sound and impact. A solid edging should be installed as necessary to protect edges. The system must be laid onto a sound stable and solid base; concrete is the preferred substrate, the system may be applied to asphalt concrete but there is a risk of migratory staining from the bitumen binder. It is suitable for applications in areas such as playgrounds, surrounds, and golfing environments.
